Tarian – the serious and organised crime unit of the southern Welsh police forces – is considering an investigation into a proposed wellness village at Llanelli, following a complaint from Swansea University.
Several senior members of staff at the university were suspended in 2018 following concerns over their conduct and potential conflict of interest regarding the project.
Dyfed-Powys Police and South Wales Police issued a statement saying: “(the two forces) can confirm that they have received a complaint which is currently subject of consideration by both forces, as well as Tarian, the Regional Organised Crime Unit….Due to the complex nature of the complaint the matter remains under review.”
