Chair of the Public Accounts Committee and AM for Monmouth, Nick Ramsay, was arrested at his home on New Year’s Day following an as of yet undisclosed “disturbance”.

He was subsequently released without charge and faces no further action.

When the news became public he was immediately suspended from the Senedd Conservative group. The Conservatives refused to comment further, saying: “The suspension will be reviewed following consideration of the matter by external agencies.”
